Alexander Krasyukthe promoter of the owner of the WBA, WBO, IBO and IBF heavyweight division Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs), told how he could have negotiated a fight with WBC champion Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs).
“I hope that at some point the negotiations will end – with a positive or negative outcome. Everyone is extremely tired of talking. We want to do something meaningful. We want to know if Tyson is in the case or not.
As a matter of fact, during the talks, I asked to be allowed to talk to Tyson for five minutes, to have a personal conversation. I’m willing to bet that in that case we would have had a fight. But in the boxing business, the promoter takes care of his ward, his client. Therefore, this usually does not happen,” Krasyuk said.
