The head coach of the Ukrainian men’s biathlon team Juraj Sanitra spoke about problems with skiing in the sprint at the seventh stage of the World Cup in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic.
“If you look at the individual results, then Anton Dudchenko ran a good start. He physically felt good, and coped with the shooting in difficult conditions.
But not everything was good with logistics today. Therefore, I think that Anton could be higher than 17th place. Several mistakes were made with skis, and this factor played into the fact that he could not fight for the top ten.
I will not say that it was a service error. But it didn’t work out with skis the way we wanted it. And if you want to compete with the best athletes, Norwegians and Swedes, you need to do everything to have skis at a high level,” Sanitra said.
