Famous promoter Frank Warren spoke about the situation with the negotiations on the fight between WBC heavyweight belt holder Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) and WBA, WBO and IBF champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs).
“Unfortunately, there is no news. I know that every time I keep saying that they will appear in a few days. This is because we hope to reach an agreement in a few days. However, April 29th is fast approaching, and I think that in the near future we need to either draw a line under the negotiations and look at another fight or agree on all the conditions. Here is the situation at the moment.
I don’t want to go into details. I understand that people, of course, want to know what’s going on. We want to agree on everything, put tickets on sale. But things turned out a little more complicated than we expected. I hope we can agree, but we’ll see. We have little time left. I’ll be very surprised if we don’t make some kind of announcement early next week,” Warren said.
Earlier it was reported that the talks about the Usyk-Fury fight had stalled.
