WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) addressed the people of Ukraine on the anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion.
“Dear people of Ukraine, good day! Today is 365 days since the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation. And 365 times in the Bible it is written: “Do not be afraid, for I am with you.” The Lord said, “Whoever you offend will weep. And he will ask me for help. And I will help him. So fear the tears of those whom you have offended.”
“People of Ukraine, I want to turn to you. I want to thank everyone who stood up for the country – from young to old, guys, girls and everyone. We were told that they would take us in three days, that we would not exist – all these are just words. We survived. We continue to stand. And we will definitely win.”
“People of Ukraine, thank God for everything! And Glory to Ukraine! You are strength. You are power, and you cannot be defeated,” Usyk said.
