Feyenoord fans not allowed into Rome to play Roma

On April 20, Roma will host Feyenoord in the second leg of the 1/4 finals of the Europa League in Rome. The authorities of the capital of Italy have banned the sale of tickets for the match to fans of the guests. They will not be able to purchase tickets either for the away sector or for seats in other sectors of the Stadio Olimpico.

The reason for this decision is the previous visit of Feyenoord fans to Rome in 2015, when the Dutch club also played Roma in the Europa League. Then the fans of the guests repeatedly violated public order and damaged the historical landmark – the 17th-century Barcaccia fountain.

Then a large amount of money was spent on repairing the damage, and the Dutch government had to apologize for the behavior of its citizens.
