The 27th class A tournament named after Shotsikas ended in Kaunas, Lithuania. The Ukrainian national team won the first team place among 17 countries participating in the tournament.
The best boxer of the tournament was the silver medalist of the 2020 Olympic Games Alexander Khizhnyak. In the final match, the Ukrainian defeated Zhanibek Kartbaev from Kazakhstan.
Yury Zakhareev won in the weight category up to 71 kg. In the final, our boxer defeated the Pole Cesar Znamiech by the decision of the judges.
As a result of the tournament in Kaunas, the Ukrainian team won 13 awards: 6 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze. Ukraine at this tournament was represented by 16 athletes.
