Gennady Golovkin, 40, has vacated the World Boxing Association (WBA Super) middleweight title.
According to the World Boxing Organization, there is now only one middleweight champion in its version – this is Cuban Erislandy Lara.
Golovkin won the WBA Super title in April 2022 by defeating Japan’s Ryota Murata.
Earlier it became known that Gennady Golovkin lost his IBF world middleweight title.
