“He is the worst transfer in Serie A history.” Russian player humiliated in Italy

Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri spoke about the Italian stage of the career of the Russian striker Alexandra Kokorina.

Kokorin’s contract belongs to Fiorentina, to which the Russian moved in January 2021 for 4.5 million euros from Spartak. Interestingly, during this time, Alexander appeared on the field for the Italian club only 11 times. It is not surprising that he was not marked by effective actions.

Palmeri believes that Kokorin is one of the worst Italian Serie A transfers in recent times:

“No one knew, but he played for them haha. Then the club sold Chiesa and Bernadeschi. They needed to buy an attacking player, and Fiorentina said: “Okay, he’s not expensive, let’s try to play a gamble.”

I can say for sure – Kokorin is one of the worst transfers in the history of Serie A in recent years. I don’t even have anything to say about him and his playing style, no one has seen him.”

This summer, the Russian, on a one-year lease basis, moved to the Cypriot Aris Limassol. As part of this club, he played ten matches in which he scored five goals and made two assists. His contract with Fiorentina runs until the summer of 2024.
