Former super middleweight world champion Carl Froch shared his opinion about the possible outcome of the fight between WBA, WBO and IBF champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) and WBC belt holder Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs).
“Joshua took the fight and Usyk surpassed him to become this unified heavyweight champion. It was an amazing performance, and few believed that he could win with such ease. Usyk has shown first-class boxing and proven to be a great fighter, but I doubt we’ve seen his best in the heavyweight division.
If Usyk can maneuver and keep Tyson on his back leg, then Fury will be in trouble. We all know that Tyson can go 12 rounds nice and easy, but he gets bigger and harder. Usyk is really confident that he can beat Fury. This fight will be closer than most boxing experts think. Now all the pressure is on Fury,” Froch said.
It was previously reported that Usyk-Fury could take place on April 29.
