The leader of the Ukrainian biathlon team Dmitry Pidruchny is not ready to say now whether he will continue to compete next season.
This season, Pidruchny underwent a major operation and a long recovery.
– After such a busy World Championship, and I had seven starts in two weeks, my health was shaken a little. I am now resting and recovering. And I hope that I can work out the remaining three stages to the maximum. Show good results.
– Is it just fatigue from a busy World Cup?
– Certain problems have returned. However, nothing so serious. Against the backdrop of fatigue, something escalated. But now it’s getting better, so I think I’ll be in proper shape at the World Cup. But we will look at the situation, in which case, we will not sacrifice our health now.
Have you already thought about your plans for the upcoming season?
– No, I haven’t thought about it yet. I want to finish this season. And then make decisions about the future.
