35-year-old Lviv goalkeeper Oleksandr Rybka commented on the defeat from Dynamo Kyiv (0:2) in the match of the 19th round of the Ukrainian Premier League.
“We did our best to achieve the desired result. Almost didn’t make it. It was difficult… Good and promising players play in Dynamo, they have good youth. It played an important role in today’s match.
I was glad to see old acquaintances: Denis Garmash, Sergei Sidorchuk, Oleg Gusev, Alexander Shovkovsky. In a word, with everyone with whom I once played for Dynamo. It’s always a pleasure to meet them. I want to wish the people of Kiev only good luck. Who do I root for in the fight for the championship? It’s a secret.
I regarded the match against Dynamo as an ordinary one. I thought more about the result and the points of my team. We have a lot of injured, several guys flew out due to injuries. Those young players who came out instead of them took the chance, as for me. They – well done, showed themselves.
I think that we will improve the situation if we continue to work like this. Do I believe in maintaining a place in the UPL? Of course, otherwise it makes no sense to enter the field. There is still a chance. Change of coach? It is always a push and a kind of impulse, a positive shock. Lviv has a difficult calendar, but we will fight to the end,” said Rybka.
Recall that Alexander Rybka played for Dynamo in 2005-2010 and 2014-2016.
