“I’m better than Lomachenko. I’m sure of it, so I’ll win the fight”

American boxer Devin Haney has no doubt that he will defeat Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko in a duel for four lightweight titles.

“I have been waiting for this fight since 2019. I asked Lomachenko about this fight, but he didn’t want to fight. Now the situation has changed, and already he asked. And now I’m really sure that I’m better than Lomachenko, better as a boxer, so I’ll win the fight. I’m glad the time has come.”

“For me, this is a very big event, the fight for the legacy. Once Lomachenko was the first in the list, regardless of the category. Now, of course, I’m already higher on this list, but Loma is still among the best. It’s a real fight for four titles,” Haney said.

The fight will take place on May 20.
