“I’m going to get my belts”

Ukrainian ex-world champion in light heavyweight Alexander Gvozdyk (18-1, 14 KOs) set to regain lost ground.

“Sometimes fighters will lose, we just have to keep going forward. I had a long break (from performing) because I thought I could do something other than boxing, but it didn’t work out.

In Ukraine, the circumstances were such that I had to leave it, but I wanted to return. Now I am fully recovered and ready to work again.

For me, losing to Beterbiev was a good experience. This, of course, is bad, but it is always useful to learn something new. I think that I have drawn the necessary conclusions, and now we will see other things in my performance. I’m going to pick up my belts,” Gvozdyk said in an interview with proboxtv.

Gvozdik’s next opponent will be Richard Bolotnik from Latvia (19-6-1, 8 KOs). The fight will take place on May 6 in Guadalajara, Mexico as part of the Saul Alvarez and John Ryder show.
