‘I’m sure Leicester would have kept their place in the Premier League’

Former mentor of the English Premier League club Leicester, Brendan Rodgers, shared his opinion about the dismissal from the team’s coaching bridge.

“I’m obviously disappointed that I’m leaving shortly before the end of the season. I was absolutely sure that we would achieve the results necessary to keep the club in the Premier League.

I will always be proud of what we have been able to achieve as a team. I will never forget beating Chelsea at Wembley in the FA Cup Final and qualifying for European competition next season,” said Rodgers.

Leicester sacked Brendan Rodgers on 2 April. The 50-year-old has led the team since February 2019. The Foxes are 19th in the Premier League table this season with 25 points from 28 matches.
