Ukrainian heavyweight Viktor Vykhryst suffered his first defeat in his professional career, losing to Leinier Perot by technical knockout in the 8th round.
“The pain in the ribs appeared after the 6th round, but I decided to continue. Then the pain intensified, so I could not finish the fight and show my full potential. I understood that I was winning and controlling the situation, but in the 8th round the pain became unbearable.
“I won on points, but the injury did not allow me to win the fight,” Vykhryst said.
In 12 fights as a pro, Viktor has 11 wins (7 by knockout).
