Norwegian biathlete Johannes Boe commented on the victory in the pursuit race at the 2023 World Championships in Oberhof, Germany.
“It was not easy, but already at the first firing I felt that this was my day. I was calm and confident, nothing could stop me. Yes, I had a great advantage and walked the whole distance alone. I was calm about this, it was even good – in case of a miss, I would still remain the leader.
The big advantage only gave me confidence in shooting, so I just had fun. The last lap was very fun. I hope that in the future I will have similar finishes in the championship. I like Oberhof more and more. It could not be otherwise, given my success here,” said Johannes Boe.
