CEO of K2 Promotions Alexander Krasyuk told how the fight between WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) and WBC belt holder Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) will be broadcast in Ukraine.
“Based on the experience of the last broadcast, we have no reason to change anything. Our country is still in trouble, is still fighting the aggressor, fighting. Therefore, our task will be to contribute to morale. Therefore, this fight will definitely not be broadcast in any paid formats.
We have already spoken with Fury’s promoter that we have an obligation to use this fight as a platform to call for help to Ukraine, to raise funds to help Ukrainians who need it.
I did not meet even the slightest hint of misunderstanding on their part. Since the first days of the war, they have been actively cooperating with the Ukrainian Ambassador to the UK and really help, support, collect. I think that we will definitely use this platform to help our country,” Krasyuk said.
