Head of promotional company Matchroom Boxing Eddie Hearn will be surprised if the fight between WBC heavyweight belt holder Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) and WBA, WBO and IBF champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) takes place at Wembley.
“I have no idea if this fight will take place. From what I understand, they are targeting the Wembley fight because they couldn’t get the money from the Middle East.
It will be great if the fight takes place at Wembley. This will surprise me very much, because they will agree to small fees in comparison with those that they could or would like to earn. Ultimately, they have a fight, but if there is no money, then there is no money. So what should they do? So we’ll see,” Hearn said in an interview with Boxing Social’s YouTube channel.
Earlier, Fury’s promoter told how successful the negotiations with the Ukrainian team are.
