Joshua is back! The Briton defeated the American Franklin on points

On the evening of April 1, London’s O2 Arena hosted a big night of boxing from the Matchroom Boxing promotion.

The famous British boxer returned to the ring Anthony Joshua (24–3, 22 KOs), his opponent was an American Jermaine Franklin (21–1, 14 KOs).

Previously, Joshua suffered two defeats from the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk and lost the world heavyweight titles.

His return to the ring was expected with great interest, and Joshua did not disappoint. Being the favorite of the fight, Anthony dominated the ring, having an advantage over his opponent.

The first rounds were quite calm, the boxers tried to study the opponent and find his weak points. Joshua, who is slightly taller and wider than Franklin, tried to use his advantage in anthropometry, and Franklin tried to snap and throw accurate shots, working as the second number.

Anthony dictated the pace of the fight, using his power, and his advantage was becoming more and more noticeable. Jermain was very hardy and skillfully endured all the blows, trying to bring the fight to the end.

In the last rounds, Joshua had a tangible advantage, and Franklin showed signs of fatigue. The fight went to the end of the planned 12 rounds, and all the judges rightly gave preference to the Briton.

Great return of Joshua to the ring! We are waiting for serious fights of the British against Deontay Wilder or Tyson Fury.
