“Ninth place in the Nations Cup is our maximum” – CBS TV STREAMS

Today’s sprint at Holmenkollen was the last World Cup race of the season to qualify for the Men’s Nations Cup. The Ukrainian national team took ninth place in the standings, and the head coach of the team Juraj Sanitra considers this the maximum for the team at the moment:

“Today we lacked both physical and psychological strength. This especially affected Anton Dudchenko, who did not feel very well in this race before the start.

I would say that the positive thing was that Artem Prima spent the first part of the sprint at a very good level. It’s a pity, after two penalty loops, he was not enough to finish. Artem, in my opinion, was the best of the Ukrainians. I think that both the fans and everyone understand that the season was long: there were many problems that needed to be solved.

All slightly head home. And we are ready to rest, or to prepare for the remaining starts. Already after the two previous stages of the World Cup, a lot of tension subsided a bit (for a place in the Cup of Nations – approx.), We did not set special goals for this start.

Everyone went to the track to fight for the best result. But, as I said, what the guys showed in Östersund is not enough, I think that they spent a lot of effort there too. Therefore, I am glad that we have kept our position in the Nations Cup. Ninth place – after the problems that were in the season – this is the maximum for our men’s team.
