The Norwegian Boxing Federation will boycott the women’s and men’s world championships in 2023, as well as the next International Boxing Association (IBA) tournaments in which Russian and Belarusian athletes will take part.
Norway joins a number of countries that have already announced their decision to boycott the World Cup. Boxing federations of ten countries of the world have already announced a boycott of tournaments: the USA, Poland, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Canada and Ukraine.
Both world boxing championships will be held in the spring: women’s – from March 15 to 26 in New Delhi, men’s – from May 1 to 14 in Tashkent.
