Not ready for Fury and Wilder yet. Joshua needs another fight

Promoter Eddie Hearn believes that Anthony Joshua is too early to fight Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder, so the boxer is likely to have another fight.

“Joshua defeated Franklin fairly confidently, but not spectacularly. This is understandable given the fact that he has not won since 2020. There is a general impression that he needs another fight with new coach Derrick James.”

“Everyone wants to see a fight against Fury or Wilder, but Joshua needs one more fight first to gain confidence,” Hearn said.

Dillian Whyte is called a likely opponent.
