London “Chelsea” announced the dismissal of English specialist Graham Potter from the post of head coach.
Potter reportedly agreed to go for a mutual contract termination.
In the near future, the Blues will be led by 42-year-old Spaniard Bruno Saltor, who was previously one of Potter’s assistants, as a temporary mentor.
Chelsea’s official communiqué quoted club co-owners Todd Boeli and Behdad Egbali as saying:
“On behalf of everyone at the club, we want to sincerely thank Graham for his contribution to the development of Chelsea. We have the highest respect for Graham as a coach and as a person. He always behaved professionally and honestly, and we are all disappointed with this result. Together with our incredible fans, we will all support Bruno and the team as we focus on the rest of the season. We have 10 Premier League games left and we have the Champions League quarter-finals ahead of us. We will do our best in each of these games to finish the season at a high level.”
Recall that Graham Potter headed Chelsea in September last year. Under his leadership, the Blues played 31 matches (12 wins, 8 draws and 11 losses).
