OFFICIALLY. Herve Renard takes charge of French women’s team

Former head coach of the Saudi Arabia national team Herve Renard took charge of the French women’s team.

The agreement is valid until August 2024. Recently, the 54-year-old French specialist resigned from his position as head coach of the Saudi Arabian national team.

Renard will replace Corine Diacre at the head of the French women’s team, who was fired in early March after a series of high-profile conflicts within the team.

Recall that Renard led the Saudi Arabia national team since 2019, and led the team to the 2022 World Cup. There, his wards started with a sensational 2-1 victory over the future world champion, Argentina, but then lost two matches and did not make it to the playoffs.
