Biathlete of the Norwegian national team Tarjei Boe commented on the second place in the sprint at the seventh stage of the World Cup in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic.
“It was a great race – a perfect sprint from start to finish. Only my invincible brother performed better. Of course, I’m proud of myself, but I also want to win. Let’s see what will be the last trimester of the season. The start of the season was not easy, but the preparation for the winter went well, so I was confident that the results would come.
I don’t know why luck smiles at me right now, because the goal was to reach the peak during the World Cup, but I’m glad that it happened that way. I hope I have enough strength to get on the podium by the end of the season. I got my confidence back, which is probably the most important thing in our sport.
Nove Mesto is a historical place. I always smile at the local stadium because I remember my achievements, spectacular fight and incredible fans. It inspires and gives the right attitude to the race,” said Boe.
