The head coach of the Ukrainian men’s biathlon team, Juraj Sanitra, commented on the 4-lap penalty for Dmitry Pidruchny in the relay at the 2023 World Championships in Oberhof, Germany.
“Piruchny did not cope with the shooting at all. We had to come to the shooting a little earlier – 20 seconds and there was no wind, then, when they came with Tarjei Bo, there was a strong gust, long-range misses.
I don’t think his legs were holding him up properly. 4 laps is a lot, but we will continue to fight, because today everything is possible in shooting,” Sanitra said.
