“Potter? Responsibility lies not only with the coaches

Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi commented on Graham Potter’s sacking as Chelsea head coach:

“I’m really sorry. This is bad news for coaches. I think sometimes you give too much importance to the coaches because the players always come first. However, I do not like it when coaches are fired, because the responsibility lies not only with them. The players, the club – this is bad news for everyone.

I just want to thank Graham Potter. I have a team with a very good attitude and mentality. It’s hard to say when you don’t know the situation in someone else’s dressing room. I don’t like talking about other teams and coaches. I am very sorry when situations like this arise because they are sad.”
