Biathlete of the Swiss national team Serafin Wistner has announced that he will end his sports career after the end of this season.
“17 years after my first international biathlon competition, it’s time to start a new page in my life. I love biathlon the most, and this sport brings me a lot, despite the frustrations that I sometimes experience. I enjoyed comparing myself to the best in the world every day.
Over the years, I have made many friends, discovered many countries and experienced unforgettable moments. However, I have reached a point in my life where my priorities have changed and I can no longer and do not want to invest the necessary energy to play sports at the highest level.
I would like to thank everyone who accompanied and supported me throughout my long biathlon career, especially my family, my partners, my fans, my employer, my sponsors,” Wistner said.
