John Furythe father of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs), is sure that WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) does not deserve half of the fee for fight with his son.
“Since Tyson is a great champion, the distribution of the fee should be 60/40. But there is another scenario: take 30 percent, and if you beat Tyson, you will get 40 percent. It’s fair, isn’t it? After all, who was Oleksandr Usyk until Joshua fought him? Nobody knew him. He couldn’t assemble the Manchester Arena.
Tyson attracts a huge audience, he has already attracted a lot of viewers. Tyson is the “A” side. Usyk should aim to fight Tyson. He owns the titles that belonged to Tyson. Tyson’s closet is full of these belts.
Take 30 percent and let’s have a fight. If you beat Tyson, you get 40 percent. Put it in the contract, and that’s it. Tyson will win anyway,” Fury Sr. said.
Earlier it became known that the Usyk-Fury fight will be broadcast free of charge in Ukraine.
