The head coach of the Ukrainian men’s biathlon team Juraj Sanitra shared his opinion on the selection of the squad for the relay race at the 2023 World Championships.
“Without Pidruchny, the relay race will not be 100% successful. I want to determine the composition for the relay, so it’s time to prepare psychologically. I want to correctly name the names on Saturday. Because six athletes – all options for the composition. Therefore, we will look at the state after the individual race. Who has recovered? Then I will talk with the doctor about Prima’s condition.
Today, Dudchenko and Pidruchny will run absolutely. I’ll tell you two more later. How we will run at the stages, we will think. I think that everyone wants to start – it’s good. I hope that we will be better prepared than in the single relay,” Sanitra said.
The men’s relay will take place on Saturday, February 18. Beginning at 12:45 Kyiv time.
