John Fury, the father of WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, allowed himself a public appeal to the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk, who owns the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO champion titles. Fury Sr. urged respect for his son’s possible rival.
“Treat Tyson like the great champion he is. You don’t have to be side A.
Usyk is no match for Tyson. Get in line – and then you get a fight. If you don’t respect Tyson, you won’t get the fight. Tyson is side A, and Usyk is not worthy of 50% of the fee. He didn’t sell the O2 Arena. So let him get in line,” said John Fury.
Earlier, Tony Bellew said that Usyk has all the qualities to inflict the first defeat of Tyson Fury in his career.
