WBA officially sanctioned the championship fight between Usyk and Dubois

The World Boxing Association (WBA) has officially sanctioned the fight, which should meet Oleksandr Usyk from Ukraine (20–0, 13 KOs) and a Briton Daniel Dubois (19–1, 18 KOs).

Usyk holds the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles, while Dubois was named the WBA mandatory challenger and holds the WBA World belt.

The Boxer parties now have a 30-day negotiation period (April 4 to May 2). If during this time an agreement on the terms of the fight is not reached, then the WBA will announce promotional bidding.

Earlier, negotiations on a possible duel for the title of absolute world champion between Oleksandr Usyk and Briton Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) ended unsuccessfully.

The WBA Championships Committee ordered the bout between Heavyweight Super Champion Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois.
