Chelsea striker Kai Havertz said the team was disappointed that the club decided to sack manager Graham Potter, but the players are waiting for who will be the new mentor.
“We are grateful to the coaching staff who stand behind the team after the dismissal of Graham Potter. The club must respect these people. Now the owners must decide who will be the new coach. It’s not for the players to decide.”
“We do our job on the field, and of course it’s easier when a mentor can work with the team for a long time. We are very disappointed with Potter’s dismissal, but we accept the situation,” Havertz said.
Julian Nagelsmann, Luis Enrique, Zinedine Zidane and other specialists are vying for the post of Blues mentor.
